For the readiness score you need heart rate variability and resting heart rate measured overnight. An Apple Watch records them; other trackers (Oura, Whoop, Garmin, Withings and others) work if their app shares these data with Apple Health. Without any of them, training load (for workouts with heart rate), sleep hours, food and water still work. Settings › Your setup shows what arrives on your iPhone.

Only for the coach chat, the AI-written daily briefing and reading nutrition labels with the camera. They need an iPhone 15 Pro or newer with Apple Intelligence turned on. Everything else works on any iPhone with iOS 26; without Apple Intelligence the daily briefing uses fixed texts.
